The Rocky Shore Picture Show
An interactive program for kindergarten through fourth grade, exploring the intertidal zone, the rocky shore, using stories, slides, shells, and seaweed. Some of the audience will become the creatures found living in this fascinating and harsh environment. A craft activity may be included that involves participants in creating their own rocky shore mural or creature puppet to take home. Runs one to two hours in length.

To Fish Or Not To Fish, That Is the Question
This workshop invites the audience to investigate the whys and why nots of this question by introducing them to the world of commercial fishing. This is a two-hour workshop for high school to adult audiences including slides, discussion, storytelling, and samples of fishing equipment.

A Sea of Wonders
Stories, sea chanties, and activities about the marine environment.

The Gift of Storytelling
Students explore the oral tradition and their natural ability as storytellers.

Plant Me A Story
Students discover and explore the world of plants through stories, activities and hands-on-learning.

 

Debra draws from her vast experience educating people of all ages about the sea and other aspects of the natural world to immerse her audience in the wonders of the real and imaginary in her workshops and performances.

Using her BA in Biology and MS in Environmental Studies, Debra encourages others to explore the natural world and its influence on their cultural heritage.
